Local mom, preschool teacher activated to support 104th Fighter Wing in COVID-19 response
More than 50 members of the 104th Fighter Wing, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Mass., are on orders and leading the way to help the Commonwealth in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Technical Sgt. Felecia Yager, a personnelist in the 104th Force Support Squadron, has been put on orders and is at the forefront of the mission, looking out for her fellow Airmen to make sure they are good to go, administratively. More than 50 members of the 104th Fighter Wing have been activated and are working within their career fields to assist with the COVID-19 response efforts within the Commonwealth. Although Staff Sgt. Whitney Greaney has not been activated, she decided to help her community with her personal 3D printer. Airmen and Soldiers of the Massachusetts National Guard take a photo they respond together to help their communities during the COVID-19 response. Security Forces Airmen from the 104th Fighter Wing, Barnes Air National Guard Base, Mass., and Soldiers with the 747th Military Police Company, Massachusetts Army National Guard, are providing 24-hour security for testing sites and shelters for the homeless who may be positive COVID-19. The Airmen and Soldiers are working with interagency partners Springfield Police Department to ensure security and safety for the supplies, patients, and staff.
