  • DAF COVID-19 military vaccination deadlines approaches

    Any active-component Airman or Guardian who has refused to obtain a qualifying vaccine by Nov. 2 and has not received, or, is not in the process of seeking, a medical exemption or religious accommodation will be in violation of a lawful order and subject to discipline under Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

    Members of the 104th Medical Group attended a two-day Tactical Combat Casualty Care course through the Center for Education, Simulation & Innovation with Hartford HealthCare Sept. 18-19, 2021, in Hartford, Connecticut. During the interactive event members were taught the goals of TCCC, which are to treat the casualties, prevent additional casualties, and complete the mission. They were also taught the three phases of TCCC; care under fire, tactical field care, and tactical evacuation care.

  • Service members earn German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge

    Service members tested their military proficiency with the goal of earning the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge Sept. 9-11 at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts. Eight Airmen represented the 104th Fighter Wing during the three-day event. “Competing at the GAFPB was an awesome experience,” said Staff Sgt. Sara Kolinski, 104th Fighter Wing public affairs specialist. “It's a great opportunity to push yourself and see what you are capable of. Crossing over the finish line after the ruck on the last day is such a satisfying feeling.”

It also referenced and compared data from the prior report on racial disparity, involving Black/African American Airmen and Guardians.

  • 104FW assesses capabilities with mobility exercise

    Airmen from across the 104th Fighter Wing participated in a mobility exercise August 9-16, 2021 at Barnes Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. This exercise tested several units on their ability to rapidly deploy and process aircraft, equipment, cargo and personnel while maintaining mission readiness at home station.
