Maj. Warren Nelson 174th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Iowa Air National Guard in Sioux City, Iowa stands with one foot on the ladder of one of the units first F-100 Super Sabre aircraft on June 3, 1961. The unit had been flying the RF-84F photo reconnaissance aircraft prior to converting to the F-100.
