Who ya gonna call? 911 from a base phone
Staff Sgt. Austin Herman, 104th Civil Engineering Squadron firefighter, works in the fire alarm communications center April 12, 2022, at Barnes Air National Guard Base, Massachusetts. The fire alarm communications center is staffed by a minimum of one firefighter 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The crews want to make sure members on base know that dialing 911 from a base phone will contact them, while calling 911 from a personal phone will contact the municipal dispatch off base. By calling from a base phone, members can ensure a quicker response to on base emergencies. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Randy Burlingame)
