August 21-22, the skies of Westfield will come alive with the sounds of freedom. Barnes Air National Guard base will host the US Air Force Thunderbirds, US Army Golden Knights, Geico Skytypers, Greg Poe, John Klatt, a Jet-powered school bus, Dan Buchanan, the Red Eagles, Rob Holland, pyrotechnic displays, and many historic and military aircraft like P-51, F-4U, H-34, P-47, B-25, T-6, F-16, F-18, A-10s...to name a few .
Although the show is more than 6 months away, much of the planning is already underway, and the show is shaping to be one of the largest hosted at Barnes.

The process of hosting an show began in December at the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS). During this conference all the Air Show acts come together to plan for the following years shows.

Coordinating sponsorship, setting up marketing campaigns, planning to accommodate a few hundred thousand people is a daunting task, but with the help of key organizations and local businesses, this show will offer a family event, filled with fun and excitement.
