Mary Harrington, Public Affairs Officer 104FW BARNES AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Massachusetts -- The 104th Fighter Wing will host an Assumption of Command for Col. Robert Brooks. The event will take place this Saturday, August 23, commencing at 1530 on the ramp. Distinguished vistors will include (Mayor of Westfield) Michael Boulanger and his wife Karen; (Massachusetts Air National Guard Commander) Maj. Gen. Michael Akey and his wife Linda; Maj. Gen. Richard Platt (ret.); and (Air Combat Command, Air National guard Assistant to the Command Staff Judge Advocate) Brig. Gen. Andrew Turley and his wife Cathy. After a presentation of awards the official Assumption of Command ceremony, invited guests will attend a reception in the main hangar.
