Barnes Air National Guard Base, 104 Fighter Wing - Westfield, Mass -- Capt. Leonard E. Bannish of Westfield died when his F-84F Thunderstreak crashed during a training flight near Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on May 30th, 1968. Crashed while attempting an emergency landing at the Wilkes-Barre PA airport.
