U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1221st Engineer Company, 122nd Engineer Battalion, South Carolina Army National Guard, cleared roads in North Augusta Sept. 28, 2024, following Hurricane Helene. Despite power outages, blocked roads, downed power lines, and widespread damage, the South Carolina National Guard is actively engaged in assisting South Carolinians across the state.
