Lieutenant Colonel Peter Carr is the Vice Commander for the 104th Fighter Wing, Massachusetts Air National Guard. In this role, he supports the Wing Commander to ensure the unit is mission ready and can effectively support the alert homeland defense and the expeditionary deployment missions for the 21 F-15C/D Eagles and over 1000 military and civilian personnel.
Carr is a career 104th Fighter Wing member. He enlisted in 1993 and spent six years as a jet engine mechanic before commissioning in1999. He has had several assignments in maintenance and logistics billets.He was the Wing Inspector General responsible for providing independent,relevant and timely oversight of readiness, discipline and overall efficiency of the wing. Lt Col Carr has commanded the 104th Maintenance Group, the 104th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, and the 104th Maintenance Operations Flight.
He has deployed in support of Operations DENY FLIGHT, DELIBERATE FORCE, IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, and ATLANTIC RESOLVE.
Prior to assuming his current position, Carr served as the Commander of the 104th Maintenance Group
