104th Fighter Wing Thunderbolt Council Gives Back to the Community

BARNES AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, WESTFIELD, Mass. – The 104th Fighter Wing and the Thunderbolt Council will be presenting a donation check to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield on Sunday, February 4 at 9 a.m.

The Thunderbolt Council donation will be presented to Mr. Bill Parks, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield.

“The Thunderbolt Council and the 104th Fighter Wing have enjoyed a solid partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield for many years,” said EJ Gunning, treasurer of the Thunderbolt Council. “Their mission to support and develop young people in the Greater Westfield area aligns perfectly with the mission of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, and strong community ties are good for both organizations.  The Thunderbolt Council is happy to provide a donation in support of the many fine programs offered by the Boys & Girls Club.”

The Thunderbolt Council organization supports the men and woman of the 104th Fighter Wing and together they are able to give back to the community that contributes to their everyday lives.

“We are thankful for our relationship with the Boys and Girls Club,” said Col. James Suhr. “They provide a wealth of benefits to our Airmen and community. When our Airmen and their families are taken care of, then our mission succeeds.”
